SIKEHEAD MINE

Not far from Blachland, Sikehead Mine is in an interesting location adjacent to a small reservoir dominated by two chimneys.  Access to the mine is blocked with baulks of timber but it is possible to see in.  I am so told that the mine is blocked by a roof fall just round the corner but there is plenty to see on the surface making the location well worth a visit.
